Konkel, Henry "Hank"
passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the age of 90 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, MaryAnn, only two months ago. Henry is survived by one sister, Virginia Gorczyca; one brother, Edmund; numerous nieces and nephews. Henry served in the Navy during WWII and was stationed in Iwo Jima. He worked for Walker Mfg. until his retirement. He was co-founder of H & D Machine until he needed to step down, when MaryAnn contracted MS. He was devoted to her and was her only care giver for 45 years. Fishing was his favorite pastime, treating everyone who knew him to a fish fry. Henry was devoted to his faith and praying the rosary daily.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1:00 PM with Father Kurian Kollapallil as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the Mass, from Noon to 1:00 PM.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of the staff at Bethany Care Home for the love and attention they gave to both Henry and MaryAnn.
