Helene (Margul) Hisgen Roark

Roark (Margul), Helene Hisgen
of Clarklake, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2012. She was born to Henry and Nettie (Patters) Hisgen in Jackson, Michigan on September 30, 1923. She attended St. John's Catholic School and continued her faith as a devout Catholic. Helene was also member of Amaranth, volunteered her time at Brooklyn Elementary School as a mentor and was retired from National Bank of Jackson/Comerica. Some of her hobbies included golfing, bowling and lake activities. She is survived by her daughter Julene (Ron) Schiel; two grandchildren, A.J. (Lacey) Schiel and Stacy Schiel; nieces, Sheila Brandt, Mary Prestler, and Marge Prestler; nephews, Ron (Mona) Eva, Roger Eva and Robert(Vicki) Eva; 18 great nieces and nephews; cousin, Margaret Wood; special friend, Fran Pickett. Helene was preceded in death by her husbands, Julian Margul and Ken Roark; sister, Marie Eva; her parents; her nephews, Jim and Bill Prestler and niece, Sharon Musbach. Mrs. Roark is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Father Robert Pienta will be the celebrant at the Mass. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Amaranth Club and Parish Rosary will be on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.
