Dempski, Helen I.
Of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on April 12, 1931 in Jackson, Michigan. She was preceded in death by husband, Norbert in 1976, father and mother, Frank & Stephanie Iwanicki, and sister-in-law Joann Iwanicki. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Cheryl) Dempski of Jackson; brother Richard Iwanicki of Coldwater, MI; nephews, Richard (Kimberly) Iwanicki, Robert (Brent Withington) Iwanicki both of Coldwater, MI, James (Carrie) Iwanicki of Ft. Wayne, IN; niece, Deborah Iwanicki of Coldwater, MI.
Helen retired from Consumers Power in 1987 after 38 years of service. She enjoyed walking, dancing, golfing and going to the Casino's. She loved to sing and was in the St. Stan's Choir and the Arbor North Choir. Helen was a volunteer at Foote Hospital for many years. She loved God and her Church. She was a Special Minister at St. Stan's and worked many of the events that were held there.
The family would like to thank everyone at Arbor North Living Center, Henry Ford Personal Care and Elara Caring. A special thanks to: Jen Miller, Towanna Cooper, and the entire Kevin Ganton Family.
Mrs. Dempski is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel with Father Tyler Arens officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, April 24 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the Cascades Humane Society would be appreciated.
