Rasmussen (Burwell), Gwendolyn

of Pleasant Lake, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 84 years in Panama City Beach, Florida. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Mark) Barbieri and Kim (Ron) Goldsmith; twin sister, Jacqueline Krause; grandsons, Dylan Rasmussen and Dante and Erik Barbieri; brother-in-law, Thue (Uttara) Rasmussen; sisters-in-law, Janet Walkinshaw and Sharon Rasmussen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rasmussen; her partner, Jerry Phillips; brothers-in-law, Reinhart Krause, Jim Walkinshaw, and Larry Rasmussen; and nephew, Steven Walkinshaw.

Gwen was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She retired from Alltel Phone Company. She was wintered in Florida for the past 20 years, former teacher, an avid golfer, and enjoyed cooking. Gwen loved her Wednesday Girl's Day Out. She was a member of the American Legion Post 29, Moose Lodge, Eagles, AmVets, and the VFW. She enjoyed spending time at her home on White Lake.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
