Hockenberry, Guy W.
of Jackson passed away at home on Friday, May 23, 2014 under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice at the age of 90 years. Survived by his wife, Roma of 65 years; five children, Dan (Cheryl), Terri (Gary), Cindy (Michael), Linda (Kevin), and Tim-deceased; seven grandchildren, Corey, Steven, Andrew, Christopher, Ben, Anna, and Kyle; and three great grandchildren.
Guy graduated from Jackson High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a manager at Sid Youngs for 50 years and a life member of Moose Lodge #156. Guy was an avid gardener and enjoyed working on his lawn.
According to his wishes, Mr. Hockenberry has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on 10:00 until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Queen's Church, Jackson County Department of Veteran's Affairs, Salvation Army, or Allegiance Hospice would be appreciated.
