Smith (Muck), Gloria
Born on September 6, 1933 passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 10 days shy of her 92nd birthday, under the care of Optimal Care Hospice at Vista Grande Villa in the presence of her family. She was a life-long member of St. John Catholic Church, a twelve-year student of St. John Catholic School, graduating in 1951 and was married to Gerald (Jerry) Smith on June 20, 1953. Jerry passed away on April 19, 2013, just two months shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Gloria is survived by her two daughters and one son: Cheryl (Alan) Phillips of Jackson, Daniel (Teresa) Smith of Pleasant Lake and Marcia (Earl) Smith-June of Jackson; as well as six grandchildren: Jennifer (Brandon) Kish, Danielle Smith, Jamie (Max) Maher, Elisabeth (Teddy) Clark, Nathan (Amber) Phillips and Tiffany (Patric Raymond) Smith; along with five great-grandchildren: Sawyer and Briella Kish, Avery Clark, Benjamin and Amelia Maher; and her sister, Joan Dumbauld and brother, Larry (Marilyn) Muck. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Cecilia and her son-in-law, Tony Edging.
Funeral Services will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:30 AM with Deacon David Etters officiating. A private burial will be held at Harrington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
Instead of sending flowers, donations to the Henrietta Township Fireman's Association or Tunnel to Towers would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Grande Villa and Optimal Care Hospice for the love and support they have shown.
