Glenis Lee Berry

Glenis Lee Berry of Michigan Center, passed away at home on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her three children, Victoria Valdez-Aberle, Thomas Valdez, and Annette M. Valdez; grandchildren, Nicole Valdez and Todd Ryall; and her sister, Marcia Caler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Gladys Miller and her siblings, Grant, Bobby, Jeanie, Donna, Lowe, Kenny, and Pete.

Glenis was born in Jackson on January 6, 1943. She worked as a nurse’s aide and advanced to become a surgical technician.  She was an amazingly strong woman who enjoyed her beautiful flowers, her spoiled puppies, and her music. She worked hard to raise her children and granddaughter to give them the best life she could. We will always cherish the enjoyable mornings as we listened to her music and freely danced.

Glenis was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew her.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father John Vinton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
