of Jackson passed away under the loving care of her family and the excellent care of the Allegiance Hospice Home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Survived by her daughter, Janice Bean (Dave Miller); sister Phyllis Wheeler; brothers, Howard Quinn (Bobbie), Gerald Quinn and Gordon Quinn (Rosemary); grandchildren, Howie Bean , Sheri Bean, Sheli Bentley, Shelia Beck (Dan), Ronda Yoxheimer (David), Ray Roberts (Melanie), and Linda Roberts; fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Bea Quinn; husband, Glenn Moeckel; daughter, Marian Roberts "Snook"; sisters, Evelyn Miller, Larene Brown, Beverly O'Berry and Betty Evans.

Gladys was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church. She worked as a waitress for many years at Kutzies's and Jacobsons Downtown. She volunteered at Mercy Hospital, the old Medical Care Facility, and Foote Hospital Auxiliary. Gladys belonged to Rose City Post #2958, ARP, Moose Lodge #389, Eagles #612, Jackson Single Square Dance Club, and Grand Paraders Single Square Dance Club in Lansing. Gladys loved to dance!

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Cremation will follow the Funeral Mass.

Contributions to the Allegiance Hospice Home would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6 PM. The family will also receive friends at St. John's Church on Friday from 1 to 1:30 PM.
