Wells (Smith), Gertrude

of Jackson, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Nick) Finos, son, Robert (Cindy) Wells; four grandchildren, Kristen (Guillermo Mazdonado) Wells, Kristopher (Izabella) Wells, Shawna (Chris Curran) Finos, and Sgt. Lora Finos; sister, Alice (Walt) Riske; and her loving dog, Crissy. Preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wells, daughter, Lori Jo Wells; parents, Josephine and Orlando Smith; brother, Jerry Smith; and sisters, Shirley Savicke and Rosie Somervill.

Gertrude was a member of St. John's Church, enjoyed gardening and dancing, and was a member of 40&8 Club. She especially enjoyed her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Chas Canoy officiating. Interment will follow at Fifield Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Henry Ford Allegiance Health in gratitude to the wonderful care of the 7th floor.
