Of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 on her 94th birthday. She is survived by her nine children, Barbara Kilgore, Christine (John) Erd, Donna (Phil) Putnam, Phil Burzynski, Dave (Donna) Burzynski, Laure (Tom) Fiero, Ken (Shirley) Burzynski, Steve (Angie) Burzynski, Rob Burzynski; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Theresa Smolak, Betty (Ron) Damer, and Bernadette Burzynski; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Chester; son-in-law, Michael Kilgore; and daughter-in-law, Lori Wells-Burzynski.

Gert enjoyed her time at Arbor North Living Center, where she was well cared for by everyone who worked there.

Gert was a longtime member at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Amalorpavanathan Rayapillai, SdC officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the Church on Friday, November 7 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
