Geraldine Lillie Miller

age 88 years, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She was the daughter of the late Guy D. and Lillie R. (Stoughton) Baugh. Geraldine was born on September 14, 1925 in Paw Paw, MI. She was married to Morris Eugene Miller on September 13, 1947. He predeceased her on March 20, 2008, after 60 years of marriage. Geraldine was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church where she was a long time member of the Altar Society. She retired from St. Mary Catholic School as a secretary after 20 years of service and was an election worker for many years.

Surviving are two sons: Ronald James Miller, of Hanover; and Larry Thomas Miller, of Jackson; one granddaughter: Stacy Marie Miller, of Jackson; two great grandsons: Quentin Thomas Miller and Gavin Morris Miller, both of Jackson; two sisters: Dorothy Eickel, of Bay City; and Janet (Theodore) Metiva of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by her oldest son: Howard Eugene Miller; a brother and sister-in law: Harold and Margaret Baugh; a sister: Marjorie Eickel; a brother-in-law: Leonard (Lennie) Eickel; brother-in-law, Leo Miller; sisters-in-law, Christine Miller and Eileen Miller and her step-father G. Herbert Burleigh.

Geraldine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 5–8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00 AM. Reverend Richard Eberle O.S.F.S. will be the celebrant at the Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church in Geraldine's name.
