CORRIDON, GERALDINE A. "GERRY"
Age 93, born June 13, 1916 in Newport Rhode Island to Adeline Sullivan and baseball great Frank J. Corridon passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Bethany Home. She was preceded in death by sisters, Adelaide (Strebel), Frances and Natalie (Vieau). Survived by her sister Evelyn (Rohlin) and many nieces and nephews. She graduated Magna cum laude from North High School in Syracuse New York and from Syracuse University at the age of 20, Phi Beta Kappa. She taught High School English in Rhinebeck, New York before moving to Washington D.C. at the start of WWII working for the Department of Agriculture. She retired from the Naval War College in Newport Rhode Island and moved to Jackson. She was a kind and generous person and will be sorely missed. She leaves behind her special friend and care giver Pam Dill. Gerry is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held Monday, February 15, 2010 12:30 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1:00 PM. Interment St. John's Cemetery. The Rev. Randall Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 10 AM to 12:30 PM.
