Bachman, Gerald L. Jr. "Jerry"
Age 87, peacefully passed away at home under the care of his loving family on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Jerry's wife of 66 1/2 years, Yvette J. (Bull) Bachman passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. He was the loving father and grandfather to Deb (Milt) Rehberg, Steve (Tammy) Bachman, Pam (Pat) O'Brien; grandchildren, Justin (Julie) Franks, Brian Franks, Brad Bachman, Emily (Adam) Klavon, Kyle O'Brien, Kaitlyn O'Brien, and Nolan O'Brien; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa Franks; parents, Gerald L. and Florence K. Bachman; sisters, Carolyn Noppe and Joan Wright.
Jerry was a skilled Printing Press Operator for over 50 years. He owned McKenzie Printing Co and worked full time at Colonial Press as a pressman and manager. Jerry was a Navy Veteran. He was a former member of the North Jackson Lions Club. In his time away from work he enjoyed time with his family, fishing, cheering on U of M and Detroit sports teams, bowling, gardening, and wintering in Florida.
Funeral Services for Jerry and Yvette will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 743 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, with Pastor John Beardslee officiating. A private interment will be held at Fifield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, December 11 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and on Monday, December 12 at the Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
