Lasky, Gerald Lee Sr. "Jerry"

Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of his family on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 81 years. Survived by his son, Gerald (Jill) Lasky Jr.; daughter, Julie (Matthew) Lasky-Albright; four beautiful grandchildren, Shelby Lasky, Katie Albright, Andrew Albright, and Alex Lasky; sister in law, Nancy Oleksy; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephews and niece, Joseph Olesky III, Nicholas Olesky, and Theresa Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joan S. Lasky (Oleksy) and 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jerry retired from Meijer as Produce Manager after many years of service. He then happily retired to his favorite job, a loving grandfather. He was an avid supporter of Lumen Christi and Comstock Park Athletics where he cheered for his grandchildren. He had many good friends.

Mr. Lasky is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. Interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:00 PM.

As an animal lover, Jerry would prefer donations be made to the Cascades Humane Society.
