FITZPATRICK, GERALD F.
of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his two daughters; Sheila Fitzpatrick (Dave) and Julie (Phillip) Koch; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Katrina, Sarah, Harley, Thomas and Tony; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Rita J. Fitzpatrick and son Timothy M. Fitzpatrick. Gerald retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a longtime member of the Polish Falcons, an avid Michigan State and Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed traveling with his family and friends.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Father James Shaver as the celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10 to 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Polish Falcon Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
