Doerr, Gerald C.

Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of his family and the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility on Sunday, October 22, 2023.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lucy; his children, Betty, Joe, Marget, Susan, Lenni, Bill, Vincent, Steven, Carol, Mary, and Shelia; step-children: Julie, Bob, and Tim; numerous grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; cousin, Frances; and cat, Lacey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Erhart and Mary Doerr; brother, Eddie; and cousin, Ray.

Gerry was born September 9, 1928 in Agar South Dakota.  He graduated from Ager High School in 1946 and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the School of Mines and Technology in 1967. He retired from Consumer Powers in 1992 after 15 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish. Gerry was a stockholder for the Green Bay Packers, was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, had a fascination for farm tractors, and enjoyed a challenging game of chess and cribbage.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to the Jackson County Medical Care Facility would be appreciated.
