Kreske (Balhorn), Georgette
of Jackson, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the age of 96 years. She is survived by four children, Janette (Cliff) Chapin, Paula Cagney, Elaine (Chuck) Tennant and Mark (Julie) Balhorn; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Julius J. "Babe" Balhorn and John Kreske; daughter, Jo Anne Duffy and son-in-law, James Cagney.
Georgette loved to dance and was a founding member of the Royal Quarter Club. In her youth she played piano and always loved music. Georgette was an accomplished and creative dressmaker who was well known in the community. Most importantly, Georgette and Julius provided a nurturing and loving home life for their children.
Mrs. Kreske is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, December 21 at 12:30 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 1:00 PM with Father John Whitlock as the celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, December 20 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 5:30 PM.
The family suggests that, instead of sending flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Queen's School Scholarship Fund or Lumen Christi Catholic School Scholarship Fund.
