Gooch, George E.

of Jackson, passed away after a battle with Covid-19 on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 plus years, Bridget; one daughter, Kelly Gooch; grandchildren, Leona and Nathan Jr. Gooch; mother, Marleen Gooch; siblings, LeeAnn Baustert, Kevin (Peggy) Gooch, and Tracey Gersch; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan and father, George Sr.

George was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from the University of Michigan after 39 years of service. George was an avid pool player, enjoyed golfing, bow hunting, but most importantly loved his family.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will take place.
