Mugg, Gary J.
passed away in Pittsburg, CA on August 31, 2013. Gary was born February 12, 1947 in Jackson MI, the son of Harry and Patricia Mugg. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, his brother Daniel and sister Marilyn.
He is survived by his wife, Phan Le Mugg of Pittsburg, CA; his daughter, Jody Kingsbury and son-in-law Torrey Kingsbury; grandson, Seth Kingsbury of Jackson, MI; brothers, Charles Mugg of Chicago,IL, Michael Mugg of Highland, CA, William Mugg (Maureen) of South Hadley, MA, Edward Mugg (Betty) of Belaire , TX, Donald Mugg (Mary) of Jasper, TX, and John Mugg (Carolyn) of East Lansing, MI; sisters, Eileen Miedona (Paul) of Norton Shores, MI, Kathleen Chmielewski (David) of Kalamazoo, MI, Jean Knowlton of Laingsburg, MI, and Mary Ellen Smith (Robert) of Seminole, Florida; sisters-in-law; Susie Tran, of San Francisco, Pearl Tran, of San Francisco, and Julie Tran Lam (Herman) of Danville, CA; brother-in-law, Raymond Chan (Teresa) of San Francisco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was a graduate of St. Mary High School and Jackson Community College.
After serving in the Marine Corp., Gary moved to California and earned his law degree while working at Pacific Bell. After retiring from Pacific Bell, Gary opened his own law practice.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 AM. Father Tim Nelson will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Grade School.
