Gary B. Gifford Sr.

of Jackson, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Farrell-Gifford and her three sons; his ten children, Gary Jr. (Doreen), Anne (Thomas) Holewa, Eric (Laura), Karen (Ron) Markiw, Shawn (Theresa), Colin, Constance (Tomi) Sawyer, Amy Collard (Jim), Ian (Sara) and Nathan; 51 grandchildren; many great and great grandchildren.

Gary was previously in the Marine Corp., belonged to the Legion of Mary and was a Scout Master and Cub Master. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Gifford is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday, September 5 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Vincent dePaul Society.
