was born on August 13, 1929 in Jackson Michigan and passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Audrey (Dodd) Kasprzycki and five children: LouAnn Kasprzycki, Sherrie (Doug) Carlson, Garred "Buzz" Kasprzycki (Shelly), Mary (George)Vaughn, and Phillip (Nicole) Kasprzycki, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
"Kas" was a United States Marine Corp Staff Sergeant who proudly served in the Korean War. Upon his return from service, he worked in Engineering at Walker Manufacturing before beginning a 27 year career as a Jackson City Police Officer. After his retirement, he served as a Jackson County District Court Bailiff for 10 years.
He was known for his firm hand and generous soul. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. According to his wishes Garred has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Robert Pienta officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM. Donations in his memory can be made to American Cancer Society.
