McNeil, Frederic Michael "Fred/Mike"

Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the age of 77 years.  He was born on October 22, 1945 to Fred and Evelyn McNeil.  Mike is survived by his son, Michael (Mary Beth) McNeil of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Judy Janson of Parma, Michigan and Patty (Mike) Santillo of Henderson, Nevada; brother-in-law, Frank Fisher of Albion, Michigan; special family friend, Evelyn Alleman of O'Fallon, Illinois; and numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn McNeil; sister, Mary (McNeil) Fisher; and brother-in-law, Steve Francis Janson.

Mike graduated from St. John's High School in 1963.  He was a proud United States Army Veteran and enjoyed volunteering his time helping other Veterans at the Michigan Veteran Home in Grand Rapids.  Mike was a member of the Jackson Ski Club and enjoyed bus driving and golfing.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  The Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday, October 21 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
