Zakrzewski (Zaski), Fred E.

passed away at his home under the loving care of his family on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Eunice; one daughter, Virginia "Ginger" (Phil) Field; four step-children, Dave (Susan) McCave, Dan (Pam) McCave, Debra (Gary) Flippo, Tim (Joy) Crabtree; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan.

Fred was the owner of the Town Bar for 30 years, was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, was a member of the Polish Falcons and the PNA. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and watching many different sporting events.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.

There will be a Prayer Service on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Father Tim Nelson will be the celebrant at the Funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
