Wright, Franklyn Joseph

Age 32, took the "Walk of Honor." Frank was a generous soul and had registered for organ donation. Family, friends, and the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance lined the hospital halls to honor Franklyn for his generous gift of life to others as he made his journey from his hospital room to the surgical unit. He was pushed in his bed by parents, Michael S. Wright III and Valoree Wright; siblings, Erin Slater (Corey), John (Jenny), Danylle, Sydnee Westra (Bruce), and Michael IV. In attendance were aunts and uncles, Diana and Bill Wagner, Barbara and Mark Snyder, and Pastor Dave and Carrie Morton and sending their love and prayers were Ken Fischman, Kim Stahl, and Barb Kinkead. He is also survived by cousins, Jaime, Emily, Logan, Conner, Giselle, Quinn, Thye, Craig, Shawn, and Kenton. Frank loved playing games and cards with his nephews, Jack, Levi, and Jude and nieces, Lorelai and Emma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Louise Fischman, Carolyn Gillespie and David Rouse, and Michael S. and Grace Wright Jr. Franklyn is also survived by several great aunts and uncles and many friends.

Franklyn attended Queen's Elementary School, Jackson Catholic Middle School, Jackson High School, and Jackson College. He enjoyed the outdoors, spontaneous neighborhood BBQ's, playing cards with his friends, and just hanging out at home. He was an avid reader of philosophy and social justice by authors Chris Hedges, Sharon Salzberg, and Brene Brow and gained inner strength and peace with meditation. He recently took up running and was proud that he was up to 4 miles. Franklyn enjoyed working at MIS with the Mach1 racing school during the summers and traveling the country with an environmental construction company.

Franklyn has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr.
