Barnes (Wolf), Florence L.
Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 under the loving care of her family and the staff of Heartland Hospice at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, William A. Barnes Sr.; son, William A. (Bonnie) Barnes Jr.; daughter, Zandra Kunzelman; grandchildren, Tikini (Bob) Brefka, Tina Pottorff, Billie Jo (Mike) Dase, Robert (Christina) Barnes, Kimberly (Bryan) Martin, Jennifer (Ric) Mallard, Zandra Lynn (Kris) Kane, Michael (Ashleigh) Kunzelman, and Beth (Ben) Good; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister-in-law, Marie Beebe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude (Ruth) Wolf; twin boys; daughter-in-law, Jeri Lynn Barnes; son-in-law, Bob Diffenderfer; and brothers and sisters, Claude Wolf, Willa (Kenneth) Wallace, Henrietta (Rex) Ostrander, Dona (Joseph) Reason, and Roger (Patsy) Wolf.
Florence attended Parma High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, William and married in 1952. She always worked to help make ends meet and to make sure everyone had what they needed. Florence had several jobs throughout the years, from being a waitress, cleaning house and dentist office, selling Stanley, toys and Avon, working a dry cleaners, and several shops. She retired from Kaywood Products and was loved by all. Florence was a member of the Bennett Community Church.
Her hobby was her family and spending time with them, always giving and taking care of others, and making sure her family had what they needed. Florence and William enjoyed spending time watching the airplanes at the Jackson County Airport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Barnes is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edwin Utz officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln-Pomeroy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
The family would like to thank Ali, Caila, and Meghan from Heartland Hospice for the loving care and support shown.
