Wills, Fay-Ellen

Born on February 24, 1938 and died on June 3, 2020. Our mother, auntie, grandmother, great grandmother, friend passed away peacefully in her sleep. Mom was born in Detroit to Angela and Ferdinando Giuliano. She married John E. Wills in 1961 and had four children John (Sue), Nick (1958-2019), Andrea and Matthew(Marsha). Grandchildren include Eric (Leah), Amber, and Elizabeth. Great grandchildren Dylan, Savannah, Declan, Jameson. And her sister, Beatrice Dantes. She will be forever remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

I think taking things for granted is possibly a gift from God. It is a good thing. Just think it we were to take in all of the blessings around us our brains could not handle it. So God has some built in mechanisms for us to get through our lives.  Mothers are a lot like that In that they are taken for granted. We figure they will just always be there. I don't know how they do it. The only explanation is God.My mom was a very talented individual. She could come up with ideas that showed her creative side and she was creative. That was certain. One time when was in the 2nd or 3rd grade it was Valentine's day at school. Those were the days when we had little parties and exchanged cards. We went to the store one day and bought two little boxes of those cards and made them out at the table. She said to me "Would you like me to make you a valentine's day box to put all of your cards in? What kid would say no.

She made the most beautiful purse out of small, slender box with lacey heart doilies with a strap. I got on that bus and was so proud of that box. All the kids wanted to know where did you get that? Without hesitation I said "My mom made it." We did a lot of crafts together when was young. We made puppets. She told me about when she went to Catholic School in Detroit. She could easily outdo anyone on the Bible from what she learned during those years with the nuns at St. Leos.

There are so many things I've taken for granted about Mom. I went to visit her in the hospice Wednesday around 2 p.m. That night I got a phone call from the hospice at around midnight. She passed about a half hour before in her sleep. She was at peace. And during our visit she told me that she was going. I said "where?" She responded "Where I am supposed to go." We had a nice conversation and told her I would be back later and to get some rest.

I am so happy that she is with dad, Nick and all the gang. Anyone she knew. She is in heaven now and I think eternal life is something we all take for granted.  I will cherish you always mom. And will see you when it is my time.
