HUNT, EVA M.
Of Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Countryside Care Center, age 101 years. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Malcolm T. Hunt. Survived by son David W. (Tokiko) Hunt and daughter Deborah L. (George) Ward. Four grandchildren; John Hunt, Mark Hunt, David Ward and Donna Ward. Five great grandchildren. Sister Phyllis Smith and brother Leroy "Bud" (Joyce) Bater. Many loving nieces and nephews. Eva was born in the Mosherville/Jonesville area one of nine children of the late Monte and Chloe Bater family. She was a member of the South Jackson Community Church and was a former member of the Jackson Country Club, The Woman's City Club, The Junior Welfare League, The Ella Sharp Museum and was the former director of Monday Duplicate Bridge Club. Bridge was her favorite pastime and she enjoyed playing and teaching the game for many years. According to her wishes Mrs. Hunt has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at Woodland Cemetery on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Dr. Charles Dillman officiating.
