Eugene L. "Uncle Huey" Lindahl

Lindahl, Eugene Lawrence " Uncle Huey"
of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Friday September 4, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Stella Lindahl; three children, Gary Lindahl (Sharon Fleck), Jeanne Lindahl and Steve Lindahl (Monica Fredrickson); seven grand kids and nieces and nephews. He was born in Hoopeston , IL moved to Jackson and graduated from Jackson high in 1940. He married the love of his life, Stella Mandreger, on February 6, 1943, just two weeks before joining the Navy where he was a Veteran of WWII. He retired from Consumer Energy after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching auto racing, football , Tigers baseball and reading to his grand kids. He had wonderful trips with Ollie's group. He was preceded in death by both parents, one sister and one granddaughter. He was a loving husband, a great dad and an even better grandparent. He truly will be missed.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, September 14 at 10:30 AM with Father John Whitlock as the celebrant. The family will receive friends before the Mass, from 9:30–10:30 AM.
