Tingley, Eugene C. —
Of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marjorie; five sons, Mark (Tracy) Tingley, Stephen, Craig (Diane) Michael (Katrina), and David (Jennifer); grandchildren, Craig (Namita) Tingley, Amanda, Triston, Jessica, Danielle, Raquel, Alyssa, Ryan, Kevin, and Austin; one brother, Ross (Donna) Tingley; brother and sister-in-law, Denny (Marianne) Hutton; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie (Steve) Shotwell; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Eugene was an extremely hard working, loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and had many hobbies which included gardening, cooking, photography, polymer clay molding, playing the guitar, and woodworking. Mr. Tingley was a painter for over fifty years and the co-owner of Tingley Brothers painting and Tingleys paint store with his brother Ross for over twenty years. He was retired for twelve years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Carelink of Jackson on the second floor for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Eugene.

Eugene is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

A brief Prayer Service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Robert Pienta will be the celebrant at the Mass.
