Age 91 of Jackson, passed away on April 2, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospital. Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Jane and siblings Ed, Delores, Ernie, Jerry, Ralph, Kenny and Agnes.
Gene graduated from St. John’s High School in 1952. He was drafted into the Army in 1957 and was stationed in the Canal Zone (Panama). His passion was carpentry and masonry where he worked alongside his brothers in Kwaske Construction and then later Cunningham Construction. He was a proud member for 50 years of Carpenters Local 1004.
When he wasn’t building, he was traveling with his wife, Jane, baking or spending time with family. He will especially be missed in the stands cheering on his grandsons.
A special thank you to the ICU staff at Henry Ford for their care and compassion in his final days.
