Keppler, Ernst H.
of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the age of 89 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hedwig. He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Rick) Schomer and Peg (Steven) Dake; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Valerie Schomer, Michael and Dana Dake; one brother, Willie (Vernoi) Keppler. Ernst was a baker and owner of Schlosser Bakery, was a beekeeper, enjoyed rose gardening and retired from the Jackson County Road Commission in 1984.
Mr. Keppler is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Father James Shaver will be the celebrant at the Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5–8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Catholic Church.
