Of Jackson passed away under the loving care of his family and the staff at Arbor Woods Assisted Living Center on Monday, March 25, 2013 age 75 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Donna, sister Dolores (John) Job, brother-in-law Jerry (Diane) LaFaive, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceded in death by his father Ernest J. Ambs, Sr., mother Victoria Sarah Ambs and sister Patricia Job. He was a US Army Veteran, member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church. He was employed in the wholesale plumbing and heating industry all of his adult life.

According to his wishes Mr. Ambs has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM.

Thank you to Troy Ganton and the Arbor Woods Assisted Living staff and Travis Peterson and the Jackson County Medical Care Facility staff for taking such loving care of Ernie during the last months of his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Jackson Catholic Schools or Queen's Church would be appreciated.
