of Jackson, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the age of 98 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorcas; three children, Phil (Sandy) Miller, Mary Pat (Herb) Brogan, and Mardi (Dave) Panici; 11 grandchildren: Andrew Miller, Patrick Miller(Erin), Christopher Miller (Angie), Nicholas Miller, K. C. Brietzke (Justin), Megan O'Toole (Mike), Sean Brogan(Sarah), Shane Brogan (Colleen), Patrick Brogan, Leah Wendling ( Eric), Tony Panici and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Regina Zuzelski and Loretta Marzec. Emmanuel was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Falahee) and F.P. Miller, his brothers, Leo Miller, Ray Miller and Louis Miller; his sisters Gloria Glandorf and Rose Ann Scheid.

Emmanuel was a well-known Jackson industrialist, who along with his father started doing machine repair work in their garage on Blackstone Street in 1931. Through hard work and dedication they developed the business into the present day Miller Tool & Die Co., where he held office every day until the age of 95. He was renowned for his engineering and machining skills, and over the years, served as a mentor to many area businessmen and hundreds of employees. Emmanuel served on many boards and organizations. However, the years he spent on the board of City Bank and Trust Co. (now Citizens Bank) and Foote Hospital (now Allegiance Health) held a special place in his heart.

The family wishes to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to Wilma Kilpatrick, his primary care giver and friend for the past three years, along with the dedicated staff from Allegiance Home Care Services and aide, Dominique Johnston.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Father Mark Inglot and Father Thomas Rieden O.S.F.S. will concelebrate the Mass. Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will also be on Monday at Queens Church from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lumen Christi High School or Cascades Humane Society.
