Emma passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at at Mount Pleasant Comfort Care Assisted Living. She was 94 years old. She is now in the presence of Jesus. Emma was born September 30, 1928 in Angola, Indiana to Clifford and Clela (Stafford) Stalhood. She is survived by her children, Pat (Dan) Allman, Dennis (Cynthia) Gostola, Mary Spitler, and Tom (Sue) Gostola; son-in-law, Curt McIntyre; grandchildren, Kim, Amity, Sally, Megan, Priscilla, Julia, Athena, Mathew, Daniel, Christin, Zachary, Jonathan, and Brandon; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Phyllis Wheeler and the Cropsey Family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Jean; special friend, William Huttenlocker; three sisters, Aileen, Pauline, and Mildred; and three brothers, Bill, Jess, and Sam.

Emma worked at Foote Hospital in Jackson for 25 years as a Nursing Assistant. She was a devoted Catholic and strong supporter of the Catholic Community. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Emma was a member of St. Joseph Guardian Angels and the Jackson Moose Lodge. She enjoyed family, traveling, reading, playing Bingo, and doing word puzzles.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Robert Pienta officiating. Private interment will be held at St. John Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at St. John's Church on Monday, December 19 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
