Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of her family on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the age of 97 years. Survived by three children, Linda (Tom) Ridgway, George H. (Mary Ann) Sewell, and Ann (Bruce) Deverman; four grandchildren, Melissa Finch, Christopher (Misty) Sewell, Eric Ridgway, and Randall (Sarah) Ridgway; great-grandchildren, Evan Finch, Destiny Sewell, Sondra Sewell, and Ariana Ridgway; one sister, Colleen (Joe) Ward; sister in law, Marilyn Dodge; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George H. Sewell; three sisters, Eloise Dawson, Mary Bivens, and Eglah Burgess; and one brother, Harry Dodge Jr.
Emily loved flowers, gardening, and sewing. She enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
