Of Jackson, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring at the age of 84 years.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Micaela Garcia. Seven children; Sergio Garcia, Alma Garcia, Yolanda (Tony) Lopez, Maria (Arnoldo) Chavez, Emilio Garcia Jr., Joseph (Erika) Garcia and Sylvia Garcia.
Grandchildren; Melissa (Phil) Clifford, Adam (Krissi) Garcia, Sergio (Nikki) Garcia, Monica (Jeff) Denton, Veronica Perez, Miquel (Amanda) Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Thomas (Anita) Lopez, Eric (Lupita) Chavez, Alex Chavez, AJ Chavez, Sylvia Chavez, Andrew Horning, Cruz Garcia and Jake Garcia. Great-grandchildren; Sela Clifford, Cole Clifford, Hope Garcia, Carter Garcia, Owen Garcia, Reid Garcia, Isabella Denton, Kobe Lopez, Meeka Lopez, Oszkar Lopez, Trinity Lopez, Layla Lopez, Selia Lopez, Khloee Lopez, Bhrooke Lopez, Eli Chavez. Brothers and sisters; Maria-Luisa Mata, Leobardo Garcia, Balisario Garcia, Samuel Garcia, Maria (Cuca) Garcia, Rose Garcia.
He retired from the Grand Trunk Railroad and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Chapel.

According to his wishes Mr. Garcia has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Father Tim Nelson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday from 9 to 10 AM.
