LEFERE, (MICHNER) ELSIE MARIE
Age, 90 of Jackson, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family on Monday, May 3rd, 2010. She was preceded in death by Robert (Bob) husband of 51 years, parents Lottie & Joseph Michner, brother Walter and grandson Lance Wissmueller. Survived by her children Mike (Kathy), John (Susan) and Barbara (Doug) Wissmueller. Grandchildren; Scott, Tammy, Stephen, Sean, Christine, Amy, Kip and sixteen great grandchildren.
Special friends: Jim & Geri Walker, Mary Ann DesNoyer and the McDonald's breakfast group. She was a charter member of Queen's Parish, past president and member of Queens Guild, founder and chairman of the Lumen Christi annual dinner & auction and the first woman to be a board of director of the National Bank of Jackson (Comerica). Family members and many friends called her " Grinda ". She was a loving and thoughtful lady to all. Grinda loved their "Farm" - Trail Acres in Parma, all her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sports, especially hockey. The family would like to thank the staff at Allegiance Hospice for the care they provided to Elsie. Mrs. Lefere is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen Of The Miraculous Medal Church Thursday at 10:30 am. Interment St. John's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Lumen Christi High School or Queen's School Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 8 PM and at the Church Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A Vigil Service will be held Wednesday at 7 pm.
