Hickey, Ellen J.

Of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the age of 90 years.  She was born to Irene May (Coon) and Justin Herman Fox on May 21, 1931 in Jackson MI.

She is survived by her two sons, Jamie Hickey and David (Molly) Hickey; two grandchildren, Jenna and Connor; brother Bernie Fox; sister, Justine Dodge; sisters-in-law, Clover Fox and Mary Bishop; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James and brother, H.J. Fox.

Ellen was a graduate of the University of Michigan, and a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association. She retired from the Jackson County Health Department, one of the many roles she served in the health care field. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a great friend, and a peaceful soul.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.

Instead of flowers, contributions to Queen's Church would be appreciated.
