Seffernick, Elizabeth Margaret
At the age of 98, entered Heaven to join many departed loved ones on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born in Delphos, Ohio on November 5, 1919 to Elvin and Lena Allemeier. She married John Louis Seffernick on July 2, 1938. After the wedding, the young couple moved to Jackson, Michigan. They were married for 63 years.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Diane) Seffernick, Lois Yeager, Nancy (Glen) Stuard, Tim (Deb) Seffernick, John (Sandy) Seffernick, James Seffernick, Elizabeth (Robert) Kubish, Mary (James) Washington, Carol (Matthew) Shannon, Susan Seffernick, Bill Seffernick, and Mary Seffernick; 42 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; son David and his wife, Corinne; son-in-law, David Yeager; grandchildren, William, Stephanie, and Christopher Seffernick; great grandchildren, Michael Yeager and William Allen; and two brothers and three sisters.
Elizabeth and John raised 12 children on their farm, Seffernick Acres. Their home was a haven for their grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren with one on the way.
We were blessed to have a very caring, loving, hard working, selfless woman to show us the way to live and she will be deeply missed. She was our hero. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a member of Grandpa's Kids Relay For Life Team for 18 years.

Mrs. Seffernick is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. Interment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Relay for Life Grandpa's Kids.
