Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Reeve (Lefere)

Of Phoenix Arizona, formerly of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 age 88 years. Betty was born in Jackson, MI. on February 15, 1927, to Alidor and Helena Lefere. Betty attended and graduated from St. John's Catholic School where she met and fell in love and married, Edwin Thomas Reeve (Tom) in 1949. Tom and Betty had three children: Diana (Al), Therese (Dave) and Edwin Thomas Reeve II (Tommy) (Patsy); all born and raised in Jackson, MI.

In the early 70's, Tom and Betty moved their family to Phoenix, Az, where they continued to enjoy their lives into retirement. Betty is survived by her two loving daughters, eight grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Cassandra, Lauren, Kristin, Edwin Thomas III, Nicholas and Alan Michael II, and 20 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helene (Jon) and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Solon Lefere. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Maurice (Betty), Albert (Frances), Royal (Mary Elizabeth), and Joseph (Mary Frances), her sisters: Louise (Jack), Margaret (Roger), Marie(George) and Madeline (Robert). Also preceding Betty in death is her husband, Tom, her children, Tommy and Daughter-in-law, Patricia, and three little angels: Terry, Maureen and Timmy, her son-in-law, Alan Michael Thomas and Grandson-in-law, Jeffrey Godbehere.

Mrs. Reeve is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, February 1st at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Fr. Kurian Kollapallil will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7 PM.

Because of her deep devotion to Mother Teresa and St. Jude, donations could be sent in memory of Elizabeth to those charities: Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
