Harper, Elizabeth Ann
Age 36, died August 26, 2015 at her family home in Parma, Michigan.
Elizabeth was born on August 31, 1978 in Jackson, Michigan to Paul and Connie Cross Harper. Beth grew up loving the lake and spent her summers fishing at Houghton Lake and Lake of the Pines with her parents and brothers Matt and Mark. She attended Western High School in Parma and obtained an Associate Degree in Psychology from Kellogg Community College, going on to pursue her dream of working with children with special needs in Battle Creek for more than a decade, specializing in helping children with autism.
Beth loved animals, especially her dogs Lobo and Riley, and her cats Monty and Niko. Beth was known to care for many animals, even trying to rescue and take in injured animals she would find.
Beth loved life and was always the life of the party. She adored her friends, especially Ramie, Casey and Gwen, and was always on the go as an adventurous young woman, looking for the next great gathering in Parma, Concord or at U of M or MSU.
Beth loved her grandparents and uncles and spending time with family. She adored reading and watching movies and the Detroit Tigers with her dad and mom.
Beth was a loving, caring, kind person who was loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her parents, Connie and Paul Harper, brothers, Matthew and Mark, uncles Douglas and Cameron Cross and her beloved pets, Riley and Niko.
A celebration of Beth's life will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 12:00 Noon with Father Robert Pienta officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
