Passed away with his mother, Cheryl D. McCourtie, on Saturday, June 6, 2020. He is survived by his Father, Daniel and Step Mother Traci, Sister Jennifer; Half-Sister Taylor; Half-Brother Parker, Aunt Laurie, Uncles Rick, Don, and Kevin; Grandfather Jack; Grandmother Virgina; and Nephew Jasper. Elgin was born on January 4, 1991. He graduated from Jackson High School in 2009. He graduated from Douglas Education Center (Tom Savini Special Effects School) in 2011 with an Associate's Degree. Elgin enjoyed sculpting, drawing, metal works, and cooking, He especially enjoyed spending time with his Half-Brother Parker and Half-Sister Taylor. He was an incredible Son and Brother. He was an Honest, Selfless, Giving, Patient, Caring, and Helpful person. An Amazing person that will be missed forever.

Cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating.

In lieu of flowers; Contributions to St. Vincent dePaul Society or Cascades Humane Society would be most appreciated.
