Eldred "Bud" Kennedy

Of Spring Arbor passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 age 96 years. Survived by six children; Charles, Mary Kathleen (Brad) Parker, Frances, Elizabeth Ann (Jon) Pielemeier, Robert (Stephanie) and Tom Kennedy. Three grandchildren; Lillian (Stein) Ulmer, Amanda (Tom) Battle, Mathea Pielemeier. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Gertrude T. Kennedy (Trainor), son John Eldred, and sister Harriett Beckwith of Stockbridge, Michigan. Bud was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, 3rd Armored Division. It was on the French Riviera during the war that he met his future wife Gertie, who was a Army Surgical Nurse. He retired as Chairman of the Board of Hall & Kennedy Insurance Company. Bud was the First Commodore of the Clark Lake Yacht Club, a member of the Jackson Rotary Club and was a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Mr. Kennedy is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM. Father Timothy MacDonald will officiate at the service. Private Interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM.
