DELOMBARD RODRIGUEZ (Weta), ELBA MARIE

passed away peacefully, with family by her side on March 30, 2012. She was 91 years old and beloved by all. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who enjoyed dancing to Spanish music, sewing her own clothes and cooking. Elba also had a one-of-a- kind personality that would put a smile on anyone's face and was a foster-care mother for over 40 years.

She was born on January 30, 1921 to Leopoldo Rodriguez and Margarita Crespo in Puerto Rico. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother (Ramon "Leo"poldo); her nephew (Paulito), her husband of 27 years (Joseph Henry DeLombard) and her precious, young son Mitchell Leo. She is survived by her two daughters; Elveta Margarita Norris, Lelia Irene (Ken) Hayden and her son, Joseph Anthony DeLombard Sr., her sister Sofia (Alfredo) Gomez and her niece Rebecca. She also is survived by and leaves her memory behind to her 9 Grandchildren; Michelle, Christian, Yvonne, Angel (Sam), Jamey (Danielle), Christina, Jason, Jessica (Cecil), and Joseph; and also her 15 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren. Weta will be missed by all.

Mrs. DeLombard is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 9:00 AM with Reverend Father Timothy Nelson being the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.
