Of Jackson passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 age 89 years. Survived by her son Randall F. (Nancy) Talkowski. Two grandchildren, Don Wilson and Randy Sue (Matt) Fountain. One great granddaughter, Kelsey Wilson and her brother, Thomas (Lois) Sharrard. Preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Talkowski, her second husband, John Massey and five sisters and three brothers. She was born in a logging camp in the U.P. in 1922, attended a one room school with her siblings until going to high school in Iron River, MI where she graduated. Marrying her 1st love in 1941 she moved to Detroit where during the war she became a "Rosie the Riveter" building B-24's at Willow Run and B-29's at the Desoto Plant later working for and retiring from the University of Michigan after 25 years of service as a Maintenance Dept Supervisor. She enjoyed activities such as skiing, camping, archery, golf and senior bowling also obtaining a student pilot's permit and visiting almost 100 great lakes lighthouses. Traveling with her son and his family and attending family functions were always a highlight.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church on Monday at 10:30 AM. Private interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Father Timothy MacDonald will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Vigil Service at 7 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
