Ignico, Elaine A.
Of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was born on January 24, 1939 in Brighton, Massachusetts to George and Agnes Brown. She is survived by her three daughters, Joan (Joe) Williams, Susan (Michael) Southwell, and Sandy (David) Craft; grandchildren, Nikki and Justin Williams, Jency (Michael) Barnes, Sarah Southwell, Ryan (John) Bernard, Mandi (Jon) Paul, and Lauren Craft; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Palmer, Reese, Ripley, Augie, and Remy; and one sister, Joan Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Ralph and sister, Dorothy Olsen.
Elaine graduated from St. Columbkille's High School in Brighton, Massachusetts. She attended Bay State Academy in Boston, then went to work for Northeast Airlines where she acquired her love of travel. Elaine and her family moved to Jackson, Michigan in 1976 and went to work for Comerica Bank as a Customer Service Representative. She also worked at the Jackson Harness Raceway. After retirement, Elaine spent a lot of her social time at the Boos Center where she met many friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Clark Lake and playing card games with them. What she loved most in the world was spending time with her family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Thursday, March 16 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jackson Boos Center for Senior Activities would be appreciated.
