Thompson, Edward W.
Of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Home Health & Hospice on Monday, April 5, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents, Earnest and Alice, his brothers Fred and Joe; and his sister Phyllis. He is survived by his three children, Tim (Ann) Thompson, Amy (Chris) Tumas, and Todd (Erin) Thompson; his eight grandchildren Julia, Elizabeth, Kalyn, Samuel, Mara, Ryan, Kristen, and Jensen; his brothers Harry Thompson and Leslie (Mary) Thompson; and his sister Ellen Fauver. Mr. Thompson was a graduate of Jackson High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Navy. Upon his return to Jackson, he went to work at Miller Tool & Die, where he worked for 40 years until his retirement in 1997. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Great Lakes Home Health & Hospice, especially Mandy and Kathleen, for giving such wonderful care and compassion. Mr. Thompson is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
