Richards, Edward Dale Jr.

Ed was born on November 20, 1947 in Hillsdale, the firstborn son of Edward Dale Richards and Wanda Mary Richards (Stauft). Ed passed away on June 1, 2020. He married Marie Rose Tava on February 4, 2000. He graduated from Pittsford High School and Washtenaw Community College. He served as Communications Director in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Ed had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and sharing his Catholic faith and praying for others. He will be remembered for his kind, gentle spirit. Ed will be missed by his wife, Marie, son, Scott of Orlando Florida, siblings Penny, Kathy, Tim, Charlie, Lee, Dan, Andy and Willie and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike and Rick.

Cremation has taken place and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM.
