Of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 99 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Lottie; son, Gary Korniski; daughter, Joyce Korniski; daughter in law, Mary Korniski; three brothers and two sisters. Survived by one son, Richard E. Korniski; one daughter, Jeanette (Jimmie Snyder); four grandchildren, Laurie, Dawn (Craig), Julie (Bret), and Troy (Shannon); four great grandchildren, Keegan, Amanda, CJ, and Chayse; one sister, Ann; one sister in law, Joan; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ed retired as an engineer from the railroad with over 40 years of service. He was an usher at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church for several years and enjoyed shopping and going to Meijer. Ed enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Mr. Korniski is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 9:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel at 9:30 AM with Fr. Timothy Nelson officiating. Interment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
