Job, Edward R.
of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn; four children, Mark E. Job, Laurie (Todd) Fitzpatrick, Christine Johnson (Danny Manser), Thomas Job (Angela Ciaravino); 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) and Jason Job, Cody, Emilie and Mason Fitzpatrick, Chad (Sara), Corey and Katie Johnson, Eric (Ashley) and Timmy Job; five great grandchildren, McKenzie, Max, Gabbi, Noah and Kenadee; three brothers, Mike, John (Dee) and Joe (Alicia) Job; four sisters, Mary Frederick, Helen Bidol, Ann Bazylewicz and Stella Formella; one sister-in-law, Lottie Job; numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Harry and Louie Job; two sisters, Jenny and Rosie.
Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was very kind and generous to everyone that he met. He retired from Consumers Power Co. after 39 years of service, was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, was a member of the Polish Falcons, PNA and PLAV. He was also a member of Queens Parish for 50 years. He enjoyed all sports, especially fishing, golf and bowling.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Father Timothy MacDonald will be the celebrant at the Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to a dear family friend, Mary Prestler, Dr. Jani and the wonderful staff at Allegiance Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church or Allegiance Hospice.
